The expansion joints, also called piping compensation connector, is the new product that connect the pumps, valves,pipes and other equipment with pipes. In the maintenance and installation process, the expansion joints can be adjusted in accordance with on-site installation sizes. Due to the wide spread use of expansion joints, the designers invent different kinds of expansion joints to meet various requirements. In this paper, the author would like to make an introduction of the 7 types of expansion joint.
The main texture of expansion joints include QT-400, Q235A,HT20,304L,316L and so on. The use of expansion joints is a protective measure, and the expansion joints also has large amount of expansion, high temperature and strong pressure area.
After having a brief introduction of expansion joints, the author would like to describe the 7 types of the expansion joints.
Type1: AY gland type expansion joint
The AY gland type expansion joint is a loose tube connecting device composed of a body, a sealing ring and a pressing member. Moreover, it mainly used to absorb axial displacement, and can not withstand the pressure thrust compensation joints.
Type2: AF type loose tube expansion joint
AF type loose tube expansion joint is suitable for connecting with flange on one side and connecting with pipe on another side. It does not need to be welded or welded. The structure is reasonable; the seal is reliable; and installation is quick and convenient.
Type3: BF type single flange limit expansion joint
When installing the BF type single flange limit expansion joint, you should adjust the installation length of both ends of the product and the pipe or flange. Tighten the gland bolts evenly in order and then adjust It is easy to limit the position of the screw, so that the pipe can be freely retracted within the amount of expansion and contraction, lock the amount of expansion and contraction, and ensure the safe operation of the pipeline.
Type4: B2F double flange limit expansion joint
B2F double flange limit expansion joints are suitable for flange connection on both sides. Adjusting the length of the connection between the two ends of the product and the flange during installation. Tighten the gland bolts evenly and then adjust the limit. Biting nuts, so that the pipe can be flexibly stretched within the amount of expansion and contraction, lock the amount of expansion and contraction, and ensure the safe operation of the pipeline.
Type5: BY-type gland loose sleeve limit expansion joint
Both ends of the pressure cap expansion joints are welded to the pipeline. When the gland expansion joint is released,you should loosen the gland nut. After adjusting the installation length, welding the short pipe at both ends as well as the pipe. Finally, tighten the nut evenly expansion joints by the diagonal method.
Type6: CF single flange transmission joint
CF (VSSJAFG) single flange transmission joint is composed of loose sleeve expansion joint and short pipe flange, transmission screw and other components. It is a new product connected to pipelines such as pumps and valves, and they are connected by full bolts. Making it a whole, and there is a certain amount of adjustment, so that you can adjust the installation size according to the installation size during installation and maintenance.
Type7: C2F double flange transmission joint
C2F double flange transmission joint is composed of a flange expansion joint and a short pipe flange, a transmission force screw and the like, which can reduce the pressure thrust (blind plate force) of the connected part and compensate the pipe installation error. Force-transmitting joints cannot absorb axial displacement.
